Integration Process

This page names steps to successfully launch an integration to hotelkit from start to finish.

Nice to see you.
We’re happy you are eager to build an integration between your system and hotelkit.
To make this an easy and efficient process, find below a project overview on how to successfully develop an integration to hotelkit using our APIs.

  1. Initial Contact

In a first step, it is vital to connect with both teams - getting to know each other’s software, USPs, target markets...
Let’s align and brainstorm on possible use cases and opportunities in establishing a collaboration based on an integration.

  1. Use Case Definition

After getting valuable insights, it is on you to define relevant use cases on what the integration will cover, always keeping the end user in the center of attention. Please share this with your hotelkit contact person to continue the process.

  1. Access to hotelkit QA environment

As soon as use cases are clarified, we’re happy to provide a test environment for you to independently implement & test the integration.
Alongside, all relevant keys for interface communication will be shared.

  1. Development & Testing

Now it is on you to develop & test the integration.
Our documentation will guide you through the process.
Begin here: Getting Started and go page by page through all pages in the Administration-section.
Create your first requests to setup your partner-configuration.
Next step is to get familiar with the provided Functionalities . Based on the agreed scope you don’t need all of them. Within each functionality you get further details depending on the Use Case and can read through a process-description in Use Cases
→ If you don’t find a matching Use Case description, please reach out (api-support@hotelkit-net) and we assist finding the most fitting.

  1. Certification

You are confident everything works as intended? Reach out to get a joint testing session where we certify your development. This is our time to get insights on the finalised use cases and their comprehensive workflows. Share with us any specifications of the interface (transmission delays etc.). Together we’ll verify every endpoint & use case of the integration to gain a deeper knowledge.

  1. Pilot Phase

After a successful certification, it is time to start a first pilot to test the integration in the production environment and get it approved by the users.

  1. Go to Market

The pilot is pleased and so are we. The interface can now be communicated as live accompanied with aligned marketing activities. We’re happy to connect our marketing teams with yours to exchange brand logos, company information etc. for the marketplace entry. Further marketing activities can be agreed on with the specialised team.
